Meetings

Make Hack Void holds Maker Meetups every second Tuesday at 6:15pm. There should be an Event posted on the front page of this site a week or so beforehand.

First timers are always welcome. Bring any projects you've been working on, no matter how incomplete, or anything that you'd like some help with. Or just bring yourself!

The MHV Committee also holds committee meetings to work towards our long-term mission to run a physical Hackerspace in Canberra. Join or browse the committee mailing list if you're interested in our official business.

Location

Meetings are usually held at The Braddon Club, corner of Donaldson & Torrens streets in Braddon. However, sometimes we hold meetings at other locations - check the event notice on the front page to be sure.

The entrance to the carpark at The Braddon Club is on Donaldson street directly opposite to the Currong St turn off. The meeting room is in the "cottage" behind the club, you need to walk past the bar (on the righthand side) and through the back door, then follow the path straight ahead. The cottage is the little building on the left and its entrance faces the oval (away from the club).

Attendees will need to be Braddon Club members, or signed in. Membership is $5/year or 50c for a temporary pass. As the Braddon Club is a licensed venue, anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. We can arrange to have someone meet you at the front door if your at all unsure, just jump in IRC or send an email to the makers' mailing list and we'll get you settled in.

7 hours 41 min ago — Attempted to fix dead imac. Looks like a dead logic card perhaps. Mainboard gets power but doesn't respond to power switch. Or screwdriver.

19 hours 21 min ago — @sabman sorry, wasn't dumping the stream and it was during the news so not likely to be downloadable. You can always email a request to JJJ.
