The MHV BBQ this year will be held on the 16th of December, at the MHV Hackerspace in Downer, ACT.

Non-members are welcome (and encouraged) to attend. In particular, we are extending the invite to our Sydney and Melbourne compatriots.

If you would like to attend the MHV Christmas BBQ this year, please sign up below and let me know how many heads will be attending, along with any special dietary requirements.

If you can assist with preparation (there are 3 supermarkets that need to be hit to make this happen), please contact me off list so I can coordinate efforts.

We request a $5 donation to help cover costs.

                10am     Setup commences

                                Bring along a wrapped gift with a value of <$20, preferably something you made yourself or can be made by the recipient

                                The game goes like this:
                                                All gifts are bagged, and participants are assigned a number
                                                The lowest number draws a gift
                                                The second number can draw a gift or steal from the first (in which case the first player redraws)
                                                Subsequent players may draw or steal from anyone except the player who just stole from them
                                                If a loop occurs (a player stealing the same gift twice in a round), the player most recently stolen from may make up a new (fair) rule
                                                Play continues until all gifts are drawn

                                Talks begin
                                A combination of short maker meeting style talks, and half hour detailed talks
