About Us

Make, Hack, Void Inc is a community association based in Canberra, Australia.

Mission Statement

To start and run a hackerspace in Canberra, a collaborative community space where members can work on art & technology projects, share ideas & knowledge, and host public workshops & tutorials.

For more details on what we intend to do, start from our strategic plan.

What's a Hackerspace?

A Hackerspace “can be viewed as an open community lab, workbench, machine shop, workshop and/or studio where people of diverse backgrounds can come together to share resources and knowledge to build/make things.” (source: Wikipedia) It’s for people who are interested in making, modifying, and generally being either artistic or otherwise creative with technology.

About the Site

The site was started in November 2009 by Alastair D'Silva, a self confessed geek and tinkerer. In true MHV style, it's been hacked on by various members since then.
