Maker Meetups have been a bit quiet since the winter weather set in, although we've now bought an industrial heater - it should arrive before the first July meetup. On Tuesday, about a dozen intrepid Makers braved the shortest day of the year - bringing UAV kit, Arduino-powered synths, nerf guns, server testing and lots of nerdy talk.

 We're running a community survey to try and find out more about the people in and around MHV.

If you're reading this, that means you! It'll only take a few minutes to fill in, it's totally anonymous, and we're giving away "free hacking" tokens for people who fill them - come and use some tools, or give the token to someone who will.

This Thursday is a special event Maker Meetup, as we are hosting CLUG (the Canberra Linux User's Group) in our space. The meeting will start at 7pm.

We'll be giving a quick general tour & introduction to MHV, and talking briefly about some of the other ongoing projects/tools in the space. If there are any Makers who have a finished/semi-finished project that they would like to display and talk about for 5 minutes (standard Meetup show and tell), then this would be appreciated .
